Percussion / Drum / Guitar teacher

Co-conductor Armidale Electric Orchestra

Jack grew up playing drums and percussion in big bands, small ensembles and orchestras in Taree.

There he played swing numbers like “Satin Doll”, orchestral pieces like “the Old Castle” and contributed in recording the local punk hit, “Any Berries”.

Since attaining his Bachelor of Contemporary Music he has played in numerous bands and orchestras including a Seiko Matsuda tribute band while he was living and teaching in Japan.

More recently he has played percussion in the pit for several local musicals and included an original piece called “Remote” on a Star Trek Star Fleet Insignia shaped flash drive sent into space with William Shatner along with songs by others.

Jack is fascinated by the arrangement of music and what makes it create certain moods.

Jack teaches Drums and Guitar in NECOM's contemporary programs, and enjoys playing guitar and singing to his daughter.
